How to install Trust Wallet and start using them?

Trust Wallet is a mobile wallet that also exists as an extension for Chrome browser and gateway for dApps. The platform is compatible with both iOS and Android and supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies. The wallet was acquired by Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, in 2018.

Trust Wallet was originally designed for Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, but now it also supports Binance Smart Chain (BSC) tokens and many others.

Trust Wallet allows users to accept and send cryptocurrency payments, buy coins through partner services, store NFT tokens, and connect to decentralized finance platforms. The wallet differs from other platforms by its multi currency — as of today Trust Wallet supports 53 blockchains and more than 10 million tokens issued on them.

The platform is known for its user-friendly interface and high security standards.

In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide on how to install and use Trust Wallet.

Download and install Trust Wallet

To download and install Trust Wallet please follow the instructions below:

1. Find a Trust Wallet application on App Store or Google Play, download and install it on your device. Trust Wallet can also be installed as an extension in the Chrome shop.

2. Open the application on your smartphone and click the «Create a new wallet» button.

3. The system will ask you to create a 6-digit secret code to unlock and confirm transactions.

4. Next you will need to set a seed phrase (12 words that will allow you to recover your wallet in case you lose your smartphone where the app was installed).

NOTE: The seed phrase is the main key to the wallet and the funds in it. Therefore, you need to ensure that it is stored securely. Follow a few simple rules and your assets will be well protected:

  • Write down the seed phrase on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place. If you want extra security, write it down on several pieces of paper and store it in 2-3 different places.
  • Save the seed phrase so that no one but you will ever have access to it.
  • Under no circumstances share the seed phrase with third persons.

5. The final step of creating the wallet will be the verification of the seed phrase: you need to put all 12 words in the right order.

6. After verification, your wallet account will be created: you can start working.

How to use Trust Wallet

Once you have successfully created a wallet you can start using it. In the Trust Wallet interface you will find the following tabs: first «Wallet», second «History», where information about incoming and outgoing transactions is collected, and third «Settings», where you can change the network, set the language and see the decentralized applications connected to the wallet.

The wallet tab contains a list of major cryptocurrencies and information about their value. Also in this tab you can find collections of NFTs that you have added. You will also be able to find DSF tokens, purchase them and then move them to the wallet for safe and secure storage.

When logging into the wallet, the cryptocurrencies Solana, Ethereum and Binance Coin (Smart Chain network) are the default cryptocurrencies. To find another cryptocurrency, enter the name of the coin you are interested in in the search box or check the list of other available assets.
